Pointless Product Placement

We were watching a show on Tuesday night which featured some pretty pointless product placement. One of the characters was showing some video which "I have on my SkyDrive". I doubt that anyone would say this in real-life; they would just say I have the video on my computer/tablet/phone. They would not use the brand name of a Microsoft service – just as no one ever uses "Bing" as a verb to mean search except in shows on TV where money has changed hands. What made this product placement pointless, was that Microsoft announced earlier in the week that they would be changing the name of SkyDrive to OneDrive, so that was a fairly pointless expenditure of marketing money.
