Jasmine

Monday night, I made a cocktail called Jasmine. The recipe I had was as follows
1 1/2 oz Gin
3/4 oz Lemon Juice
1/4 oz Triple-Sec
1/4 oz Campari
Stir with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

I enjoyed the resulting drink; unlike a Negroni, the Campari did not dominate the flavour. The lemon juice did seem the most significant element in what I tasted.

I did feel like having the other half of the drink. I repeated the recipe, but reduced the lemon to just 1/2 oz. This had a significant impact on the drink; the herbal elements from the Campari were more apparent, without overwhelming the experience.

This demonstrated to me how important it is to measure with care when mixing a cocktail; this slight variation in proportions changed and improved the drink.
