Optimism Gone

The pre-season optimism evaporated within 45 minutes. Norwich City were 5-0 down by half-time. They lost 7-1; their heaviest home defeat ever. I would say that it can only get better, but I cannot manage to clutch at that straw.

  1. This is what happens when you play soccer during the summer holidays. When I am dictator for life, the playing, practicing or watching of Association Football between the end of May and the start of September will be punishable by transportation to the colonies. The only acceptable team sport for summer will be cricket. Hopefully this will also correct the abysmal situation the England cricket team finds itself in.
