Outside Living

Today I worked on getting our back garden ready for the summer. I brought the parasols and chair cushions out of storage. I removed the cover from the BBQ and gave the grill a good scrub. I washed the patio.

I also cleaned our boat. I shall clarify that the vessel is not an ocean going yacht, but a simple peddle boat. It had sat in the lake over the winter without a cover. Rainwater had collected in the foot wells and ducks had used it as a bathroom and not to bathe and freshen themselves up. I used the hose adding to the amount of water in the boat before using our shop vac to remove the water. It needs a scrub before use, but it at least looks presentable.

After the work, I sat in the shade of an umbrella, drunk an ice cold water from the BBQ fridge and read a couple of chapters of The Two Towers.
