Cheaper by the Gallon

The US seems to have a problem with the concept of a gallon. In the UK a gallon is 4.546 liters. In the US a gallon is generally held to be just 3.785 liters. However, one DIY store has apparently redefined the gallon to be 3.43 liters. This creative approach to weights and measures could be adopted by petrol stations to offset the rising cost of a gallon at the pumps; an instant 10% reduction in price.

  1. Damn them Yanks… we should have kept them under the empire where they belonged!

  2. I understand that Brits sometimes disdainfully refer to us as Colonials.

And hey, wait a second Amber – YOU are an American! Girl, you need a regional adjustment. Is there a chiropractor nearby specializing in geography?
