Ice Hockey is not as popular in the US as Baseball, Basketball, or Gridiron. Just how little interest it generates can be seen by the decision of a local TV network to miss broadcasting the start of a hockey game to show the extra innings of a baseball game. What makes this odd is that the Hockey season has entered the play-offs and the result of each game is critical, while the baseball season has just begun and the result of the game is not pivotal to the season.
